Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is An Android Smartphone With Class

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is the company's latest attempt at creating a memorable smartphone. Does it stand out from the crowd? While this similar to its predecessors, it has some nice features including the 3.2 Android operating system (OS), a fairly reliable internet connection, an amazing camera, and more. The question is if this phone is for everyone.

Appearance-wise, the phone is a nice mix of aesthetics and practicality. At first glance, you'll find it looks black, but in truth it has very subtle accents of red or blue, depending on your tastes. Its thin shape is also appealing, as is the subtle curve that makes gripping the phone easy.

Dominated by its 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen, it also has a series of useful buttons on the side, including a dedicated shutter button, volume controls as well as power button. While it's not quite as big as other Sonny Ericsson phones, it's nevertheless more than large enough to make watching movies and viewing photos an amazing experience. That it is so wonderfully responsive is also a decided plus.

It also runs on the Android 2.3 operating system, which is pretty much the most up-to-date version, you can hope to get at this point. Features include several homescreens as well as an extra area for keeping four primary widgets available no matter which homescreen you visit. Its interface is fairly easy to navigate, with few signs of glitches or freezing, though keep in mind that there is a learning curve for those who aren't used to this software.

It's extraordinary! 8 megapixel camera has enough chops to give your digital camera a run for its money. Along with having a auto focus, strong flash, image stabilisation, and more, its Exmor R CMOS sensor does wonders for capturing sharp, crisp images again and again. Combine this with 720p video recording and you have a camera that can't be beat. Its aforementioned dedicated camera button also makes snapping quick photos easy.

Fortunately, its reliable internet connectivity also means you'll be able to upload your photos online quickly! Features include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi, and much more. Its quadband technology also ensures you can use the phone wherever you roam. Its responsive screen makes texting, typing and browsing very easy indeed. Be sure to check out the variety of games online as well, for this is a phone that makes playing them a great treat. The Android Market also has thousands of affordable apps and widgets available, and with this version you'll be able to access all of the latest ones. Wow, great...

Its battery life could be better, but it's hardly so short that you'll be chained to the wall constantly. Most users will need to charge at least once a day if you plan on using it heavily.

May be useful... ^_^
